Music Video: The Modern Electric "All We Have Is Now"

For whom would you become a zombie? The Modern Electric's latest music video begs the question.  At the stroke of midnight on March 2, the band released a cinematic short feature complementing its single "All We Have Is Now."

Catering to the national zombie addiction, the video relates the dark commitment of a man to his beloved–in spite of her soulless condition as a bloodsucking, flesh-eating corpse. Initially, he runs from the exquisite monster as she chases him through a wooded path and neighborhood landmarks. Flashbacks to their relationship prior to her conversion reveal his enchantment with the girl. To preserve her existence, damned as it may be, he succumbs when he finds her threatened by a band of hicks ready to clobber the walking dead.

The script is a bizarre take on a love song, but the imagery and the audio will stick with you. Watch the video and share your thoughts.

Video Premiere: Antoine Dunn's "Can't Forget" lands spot on BET's 106 and Park

Soul singer and Cleveland-area native Antoine Dunn is celebrating the national release of the music video for his single "Can't Forget," which premiered on BET's 106 and Park tonight, Monday, December 26. 


Dunn is an accomplished songwriter and mutli-instrumentalist who has toured with Anthony Hamilton, performed with Musiq Soulchild and Avant, and is noted on the production credits for Lakisha Jones' debut album. 


"Can't Forget" is Dunn's first single launched by Elite Music Group Incorporated, which signed the artist in August 2011. The song was co-written and co-produced by Jerry Lang II (JL), pianist and producer, who is known for his work with Vitium and Nicholas Wonder a.k.a. Nicholas Smalc. Lang studied at The Cleveland Institute of Music and has released successful hip hop hits with Vitium in Japan.


The music video was uploaded to Dunn's official YouTube page on December 12. In the past two weeks, it has received 2,044 hits.

A Rhythm Report Film – The Great Unsaid: Documented

I know many of you have been waiting for it. And to my patient patrons and Benjamin Barr fans, I present The Great Unsaid: A Documented Tale.

In March 2011, Barr produced and directed a music video to accompany the debut of his musically inclined alter ego Jim Truth's single "The Great Unsaid." The song is the sixth track on the album Caught and Held Fast, which Barr originally released under a different title in 2010 and re-recorded under its new moniker with the help of Bad Racket Recording Studio earlier this year.

Filmed at The Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights and Barr's Ohio City home, The Great Unsaid: A Documented Tale captures the escapades of the crew and cast during the two-day video shoot as well as the director's reflections on the production. The documentary premiered at the music video release party in June. This is the first time it has been released online.

Music Video: Bethesda "Dreamtiger"

The waggish five-piece troupe Bethesda launched the music video for the song "Dreamtiger" off of the band's 2011 EP release, Dreamtiger & Other Tails, at Prelude Coffee Shop in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on August 26. One can catch glimpse of a familiar Northeast Ohio summer stomping ground as part of the video was shot at Headlands Beach in Mentor. The video was filmed and directed by Cory Sheldon. Sneak Peek: The Manhattan Scene's "Where Were You" music video

The Manhattan Scene (TMS) has spent the better part of the year in a dark, in-home basement studio tirelessly wheeling away to perfect the follow-up record to the band's 2010 debut EP, Constellations.

TMS is celebrating the release of its first full-length, self-titled album on Sunday, August 7, at The Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights. Along with the 10-song compilation, TMS is launching a music video for the first single off the record, "Where Were You," directed by Stephen Mlinarcik.
